About the film:
Shutter island is due to be released in Feb. 19, 2010. The movie stars Leo Dicaprio who was the star in the James Cameron movie Titanic. Leo is an outstanding actor and plays his part well in this movie just as he did in Titanic. The plot of this movie is about US marshalls back in 1954 that investigate the disappearance of a patient from a hospital. Little do they know, that the hospital is actually for criminally insane patients on the island and they have to find the person who escaped before there is big trouble on the island. The movie is directed by Martin Scorcese, which is a big plus already because this director is famous for so many movies that Shutter Island is due to be a good movie because of this director’s pass success with this movies that he filmed. There was also a novel for this film which does closely follow the film, but the film is a little different and some new stuff is added that is not found in the novel that can be read anywhere.
Shutter Island still uses traditional film to film the movie because film has always been around as the traditional format for making movies. There is something magical about using film that makes movies special. Some film makers do not like using digital while others like using it because it is much cheaper to shoot digital than to shoot on 35mm film.
